What it measures: How much option price moves per $1 stock move

Call options: 0 to 1.0 Put options: 0 to -1.0

Example:

  • Stock at $100
  • Call option delta: 0.50
  • Stock moves to $101
  • Option gains $0.50

What it measures: How much delta changes per $1 stock move
